The Think Tank for the Modernization of Justice (O.P.E.D.) organized a scientific workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and New Technologies in the Functioning of Justice”, held at the "Lambros Margaritis" Amphitheater of the Ministry of Justice.
The event featured two insightful panel discussions with key contributions from government officials, legal professionals, academics, and members of the judiciary. Topics focused on the transformative role of AI in judicial processes, ethical considerations, and the potential for improving the efficiency and transparency of the Greek justice system.
Among the speakers were:
- Deputy Minister of Justice, Ioannis Bougas
- Vice President of the Council of State, Konstantinos Kousoulis
- President of the Thessaloniki Court of First Instance, Petros Alikakos
- Legal experts, academics, and professional representatives from across Greece
EnerTEF was represented by Project Coordinator Vangelis Marinakis (NTUA), who contributed to discussions on the intersection of AI experimentation and digital transformation in the legal domain.
O.P.E.D., an independent and non-profit research initiative, aims to foster collaboration across the four pillars of justice—academia, the judiciary, legal professionals, and court personnel—through open dialogue and forward-thinking initiatives for judicial modernization.
